History
The Day Medicine Department was created about eight years ago through the ER Department. Occasional wound care patients were referred to Day Medicine from Taos area physicians. The number of wound care outpatients steadily increased and were totally driven by physician referrals. The Department will soon be adding an Occupational Therapist and two per diem RNs. Day Medicine
Services include IVs, injections, skin tests and blood transfusions on an outpatient basis.
Wound Care
Services include treating diabetic foot syndrome, open wounds of the lower extremities, traumatic wounds, burns, diabetic and non-diabetic toenails. |
