The Taos Community Health Plan
Taos Community Health Plan (PHO)
The Taos Community Health Plan is a Physician/Hospital organization created by Holy Cross Hospital and our medical staff to help us make the kind of health care related decisions that will enable us to meet our obligations to our community. As the area around us expands and changes, Holy Cross Hospital is committed to matching the growth with the latest advances in medical care.
We understand that providing the best care for our community requires more than just continuing to invest in new medical talent and technology. It also means helping people take good care of themselves. To that end, Taos Community Health Plan negotiates fair contracts with large insurance companies and HMOs so that local residents and visitors are assured of excellent medical care right here in Taos County.
Mission Statement
Physician and Clinical members of the medical staff and Holy Cross Hospital, working in partnership, provide cost-effective, quality health care to all residents of Taos County through an integrated health care delivery system, in a 50-50 partnership.
Vision
Taos Community Health Plan's vision, using PHO (Physician/Hospital Organization) as a messenger model, is an improved quality of life and health status for Taos County residents through an innovative, accountable, accessible and economically sustainable physician/clinician driven health care delivery system which recognizes and appreciates the cultural diversity of the community and shows respect and dignity for all.
Dr. Erin Doherty is the Medical Director as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the Taos Community Health Plan. The Director of Operations is Ms. Ann Mosness.
